Monk, I seen a picture somewhere of a "box" that someone built to protect his boat. Then he added some wheels to one end (looked like possibly from a pushmower), and a handle on the other to help get it from the truck to the pond. I thought it was cool, especially since I'm building a Missouri, which is big enough to be a pain to carry if the parking provisions are far away from the pond. [;)]

I have seen some folks just re-inforce the cardboard box that they received the hull in. Mainly to protect just the sides of the hull.
Others have gone as far as building a wooden box tall enough to protect the hull, and part of the super-structure.
If you make something out of wood, then it doesn't have to be very thick. Paneling or something like that will be fine, unless you plan to stack stuff on top of it, or around it.

Here it is the outside anyways notice the pull out handle robed from a children’s suitcase and small wheels on bottom makes me a one man band [:D]

You can get all the hardware to build a nice shipping case, including inlet rolling wheels and collapsing handles, latches, extruded edges, laminated sides, etc. from TransContinental Hardware, at www.tchweb.com, I believe.

    Cheers,
