    All,

Roland has volunteered to host the first ever Washington Treaty Nats
in Ravenna. Thanks for stepping up to the plate! The pond is great
and not that far from the hotel. We need to get things moving to make
sure we don't run into similar problems like we did last year. You
know, things like the Hall of Fame Football game and the PGA tour.
Small things that drive up the price of hotel rooms and increases
traffic. Mikey put up a poll not that long ago about what month to
hold it. And August won. Now the question is, do we want to hold it
on the second or third weekend of August. I'm not sure how to do the
polling yet but would like to start to get some feedback so we can
    make this a successful Nats.

With NATS being a 4 day event, per the poll taken while voting for
the rules, we'll be able to try some different things instead of a
full fleet battle format. We'll have time to do one on one, two on
two's and maybe if we get some carriers out there we try a capture
the flag senerio. With the time afforded to us we could really have
some fun with this. There will be more posts to follow so if anyone
has any thoughts about this, nows the time to post them.

    Thanks,
    Eric

I think we should look at what we have available ship wise, and decide what kind of scenarios we want to run.

Does anyone, or is anyone building a carrier? I would love to see some on the water.
    Thanks,

I've got an old swampy Brooklyn hull that I eventually plan on building an Independence class CVL out of, but that project is down the road a bit.

I would love to see you get the Independence on the water. It would be nice to see her out there.
    Thanks,

Yeah it should be fun. I want to have a carrier for scenario type battles too. I think there is a lot of untapped fun potential in scenarios instead of a steady diet of fleet battles.

Eric is nats going to be in Ravenna or Xenia? I'm a bit confused (not that that's abnormal)

Ohio just east of Akron. Near Kent State.
    Thanks,

FYI, the BBS Nats are the weekend of August 9th... I know alot of our members overlap, so you may want to schedule it for a different weekend.

BBS Nats? No, it's a 3 day event. I believe some folks from Michigan and elsewhere will be joining us, or I should say BBS - it looks like at most i'll only make it for a day.

I don't think we'll be moving the date as it was set way back in January.
That's great that some of the guys from Michigan are coming down to play. Should be a "good time".

    Whats with all the hostility?

According to this thread, you guys don't even have a date yet... I was simply informing you so as to have no conflict of interest.

I saw no hostility just a statement of existing fact.

"fun run" and "good time" written like that emphasize sarcasm and mockery.
