Is there going to be a Treaty "Nats" this year? If so, has any dates been tossed out there yet?
The reason I'm asking is due to me returning to the States at the beginning of August. If the Nats were to be held in mid to late August, then I can plan it into my vacation time. :)

We have approached the Canadians about hosting the Treaty conference this year. If they can host it, then it will depend on their schedule.
If for some reason, they decide to have us host it again this year, then it would almost certainly be in the time frame that you mentioned.

I'm looking forward to the conference this year as well. I hope we can schedule it for a time when you can make it Mike. How's the Gascogne coming? I think that will be a neat ship to see out on the pond.

Gascogne is coming along slowly. It is still waiting for some materials from the states for the hull and guns. In the meantime, I've been chipping away at the deceptively simple superstructure (it is not simple!). Most of the front superstructure is done except for some pillars and masts (need dowel rods). Rudder and rudder posts is done. Prop shafts are installed. The deck is done. Some of the wiring is completed. Things are moving on it, but kinda slowly.

The Gascogne won't be able to battle this year I think. It is too big to send back to the States via normal mail, so it'll have to go into the military's furniture shipment. But the Richelieu is sitting in Michigan and only needs some minor work to have it battle ready in time for any battling for the rest of this year. :)
