I just got a E-mail from Rick, and the first 2 Iron Duke 1914 version have been pulled from the mold. I will be seeing mine on Saturday for the first time, and will post some pictures Sat evening.

I spent better than 4 months on making the plug for it, I'm quite happy with how it came out.

I got mine for free since I made the plug for them, of course it really was not free since I spent around $150 making the plug on materials, but I wanted one of these so what to do.

Rick and Tim have not decided as of yet on the cost. Don and I made a subdeck templet for it today, while we were making our subdecks. But Rick said it may take him a bit to get it posted, because they want to come up with a complete ship kit for it. The black Turret sitting in it, is a Iron Duke turret made out of the termite armour, it looks real nice. And Grey Wolf has said they are going to make up a complete superstrcture kit for it, but I think that will be later in the year.

That is a beautifully made hull! Those 4 months spent on the plug was worth it Dave. I can hardly wait to see the finished ship. :)

    SCHWEET!
Did you take those pics in Rick's shop? If so then please ask if he wants to adopt a chubby, middle-aged captain without a ship. I'm (mostly) house broken and will only "borrow" dad's shops two or three nights a week. Oh, and tell dad he'll have to move the shop to my backyard. ;*)

Thanks! Sorta seemed appropriate considering my VDT should be delivered Monday. Now to figure out how to call in sick all week. It's hard getting time off considering I work for a jerk (and am self-employed).

Yep thats Rick's shop, even Frank was over this weekend. Since your selfemployed move on down, Rick would not mind having another helper. The rules are, work in the shop, help with BC stuff, but really not a issue, since you learn alot about the ships that way.

BC has come out with a 380 mounting plate for the GB500 gearbox also, for those of you who like the GB500 series, I know I do.

Frank was over. That was good. Hope he is getting better each day after the accident so long ago. David I wish I could keep my focus on my ship as much as you do. It would have been done by now if so.

Beautiful hull. I'm sure she'll be an excellent fast gun ship as well.
