Actually, I have Dave's mold. He's getting the first hull from it, due this week. :)

I thought that this was decided upon as a bad rookie ship?

That doe NOT mean people don't want one :) I had to ask people to refrain from ordering until I get caught up!

That is one BIGGGGGGGGGGGG ship. Good pratice at patching. Better to have the large ships when you are young and your back can still lift them.

Yes Iceman but all those holes make it easier to lift from the bottom of the pond [:D]

A good rookie ship in my opinion but I am staying neutral in this one. The topic is the Alaska and that would be an interesting build. I personally have my huge ship... or two

    Saratoga and Bismarck

now for the being young with the good back.... [xx(]

When one of you fine gentlemen joins Battlestations and builds a BIG ship... :) then you can call it huge :) Wait for the build pics! I will show you huge! Mark's Yamato inspired me, along with a sh***y day today, to build a big one. I don't think I'll have any plywood left after I do the hull of this one.

(No, not doing Graf Spee, although I have the frame drawings copied and ready to cut out)

I know, we're going to see the video of you climbing in your battleship to chase the canoes on the lake [:D], Tug, what classic cars do you have? I am putting my 70 gto back together for the second time in 15 years. That's a huge boat too according to my wife. [:0]

A few weeks ago, I was chasing the row boats around out at Greenbrier with my heavy cruiser and spraying them with the pump stream!

I have had several (mainly when I was in the Navy and had money and time)... a 78 Corvette (rodded motor, + fancy fancy suspension from Corvette Suspension Products), a 61 Jaguar Mk2 saloon 3.8, a couple of Porsches, and my last surviving driveway toy... a 75 MGB that is getting restomodded with a Ford 302V8 (the V8 was a gift from the father-in-law, just needs rebuilding). I already did the chrome-bumper conversion and started the interior. But I've been focusing on boats for the last year or so...

As for my new big project... two words: Operation Rheinubung.
