    Below is a picture of the World War I destroyer, USS Edsall, who fell victim to the Japanese Navy's rapid expansion across the Pacific early in the war. If your interested in a great story about this ship, read the book "Blue Sea of Blood", which is about the loss and disappearance of this ship.

    In between the two world wars, Edsall was stationed in the Artic and for a short time and was painted as shown above. It is painted using Home Depot color matched flat house paint, mixed to match the actual US Navy "Thayer Blue" paint color used during this time.
