Though I think it would be neat to build and battle the Shaw Ican not find any orgazations or clubs that are big enough to make the Post 12/7/41 but pre2/?/42 Shaw with the stub bow.
I found a website that has info about th Shaw. http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/...d373-m.htm
For it to be feasable it would have to be about 1/72 or bigger. It would be neat be cause having it armed in biggun would mean 3 bb guns and 8 torp tubes of 1/4 in and have it run at 25 knots:) but the first bb gun would be optional.

They left one 5 incher on her so she wouldn't be entirely toothless for the trip back to the mainland.

    Hello,
You could play in the Queens Own at 1/72. With the one 50 round 3/16" gun.

The Queen's Own uses Queen's Own rules. They have their own rules, kinda part-way between Big Gun and Fast Gun. They use scale armor, speed, guns, etc. like Big Gun (although they have different charts), but they have no limitations on ROF and assign number of guns, ammunition, etc. based on class like in Fast Gun. They also mandate a certain minimum level of detail, which is pretty high. Sure looks cool, though.

Both the USS Minneapolis and USS San Francisco also had their bows blown off and had shorter temp bows put on. The DKM Prince Eugen had it's stern blown off and had a shorter temp stern fitted. None of these are OK to build. I asked many years ago.
