Here is an interesting book: "From (the) Original to the Model, The Heavy Cruisers "Von der Tann, Moltke-Class, Seydlitz, Derflinger. A photo (Picture) and Plan-Documentation (pocketbook form)"

There are lots of books available in that series. If you type in "Vom Orginal zum Modell" (From the Original to the Model) you will get WW2 ships as well. Plenty of translation services out there on the net, but its the plans, details and pictures that might be usefull..

I have the German Battlecruisers one, very good reference material, lots of pictures, some good line drawings - though they're limited to the page size, no foldouts.

The plans shown in these books are sold seperately, and are of very high quality.
