I am looking for one of these mighty ships because I believe that in all my RC experience, and building a 1/144th scale Prinz Eugen, I believe its time to shine on one of those.

Finding one for sale will be hard, very hard. Fast Gunners can't use em and only a couple exist in Big Gun. The one in the WWCC I know of just got a new owner and it's a keeper for him. Probably gonna have to build one. Strike models has a set of plans. The only downfall is that they don't have good drawings for the superstructure. However, being that it wasn't completed I would say it's superstructure construction is open to reasonable interpretation of existing drawings. I have a set of them and intend to build it one next year because it is just magnificent.

Froggyfrenchman has a complete H-39 that I built, he furnished the guts, after using it I swapped some hulls from him for it, Big Bad Beautiful boat, three rudders three shafts. Favorite boat, I sugest private messaging him. He does alot of buying and selling, If you do end up getting it, and want some plans, I have a couple sets for the H, the hull is fiberglass and was imported from austrailia

If you live in Florida, I'd go fast gun. I have nothing against big gun, just you need people to battle with.

I do have the H-39 that Matt built. But I am not sure that I am interested in selling it.
I really like the boat, and always wanted to build one myself.
It also looks like you may not have any big-gun groups anywhere near you.
Just fast-gun groups that I know of are in your area.
So the H-39 is not a legal boat in that format.
I will most likely hang onto this one for a while, and run it here.

I highly recommend the H-39 wooden hull plans from strikemodels. I used them for the Superstructure on my H-39, they are all templates that you just cut out and glue onto the wood that your going to use for the hull and then cut out and assemble. Makes for a really really easy wood hull construction. The H is a beautiful ship, if you like(love) German warships, then you must have it!
