does anyone have a radio for sale with servos and reciever because every place i went to on the internet it said the DX6 brand is discontinued so if you have a extra one that you dont need post it here
To get info on the current production Spektrums you can look here: http://www.spektrumrc.com/DSM/Products/airRadios.aspx Most hobby shops or online hobby retailers should carry the DX7, which is probably overkill for your needs. You could also go to a hobby store and get a different radio, such as a Futaba which will also meet your needs.
I personally prefer the futaba, my friend has a DX6i for his airplane though and that would meet his needs. I just wasn't sure if the 6i was discontinued with the 6.
YOu can order servos online, or you can get them from a hobby store. Same with the Spektrum receiver.
Go to www.towerhobby.com and click on radios... do not buy 72MHz, buy 75MHz or 2.4GHz, and you'll be fine.
Spextrum DX6i Features 6 Channels Full range 2.4Ghz DSM Raidio 10 Model Memory 2.4 Ghz DSM (Digital Spectrum Modulation) Technology Includes the NEW AR6200 Reciever ############### Compatible with any existing DSM and DSM2 receivers It comes with the receiver Sean. You can get servos at your local hobby shop. Heck now days you only need one for your rudder.
Speaking from experience Sean you are going to get real board sitting there staring at your new Shiny radio with no ship to work on [V]
When building any small ship, unless the radio is packaged with sub-micro servos such as those that would be used on a featherweight indoor flyer, it's better to purchase the servos separately from the transmitter and receiver. Whether a radio does or doesn't come with servos shouldn't dictate whether or not you buy it; whether the radio itself meets your needs should.
yeah im looking for a raido to but im getting the one off of BC and webwookie it says in your singnature your USS Gearing, DD-710 is stricken what does that mean
Technically, stricken means that a ship was removed from the Naval Registry, thus it was allowed to be sold and/or scrapped. By, really the same thing i guess. Not that Webwookie has a Naval Registry.
Didn't someone post on one of the other forms something about a Radio from this company (5 Channel) for about 100$ new in the box? I'll look and try and find it..
Here is the link to the 5 channel model for cheap (Under 100$ for transmitter and receiver) from Horizon Hobby http://www.horizonhobby.com/Articles/Article.aspx?ArticleID=1826 From the radio forum
