I'm looking for someone that might be able to build a 1/48 scale hull, or if you know of someone that might. Also looking to buy a 1/48 or 1/96 scale hull of the Missouri.
Wow... the USS John C Stennis in 1/48 would be 22'9" long, and 5'3" wide on the flight deck! You need a boat trailer! The Missouri would be a relatively paltry 18 and a half feet... The Scale Shipyard makes a 1/96 Missouri http://scaleshipyard.com/Catalog%20Pages/battleships.html#WHU-B%2010 and a 1/96 Nimitz http://scaleshipyard.com/Catalog%20Pages/carriers.html#WHU-V%204 they are both right around $1000 just for the hull. Shipping is probably ridiculous.
A tad bit off-topic but seeing mention of that almost makes me wish I were still living in Irvine, CA; it'd be a little more than a stone's throw away and probably within will-call/pick-up range in an afternoon (I-405 traffic permitting of course).
