      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Was talking with the two teenage boys over the weekend and we wanted to build some r/c sailing ships and after an internet search we found this whole world of r/c warship combat and the AOS here was fascinating. <br />

It looks like it is a big enough leap to make the sailing combat happen that there were never enough to really get events going? Just curious if this forum is out of date or if there is a better place we should look. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[The folks at Spudwerks Dockyards are proud to announce the building of their newest ship, the USS Constitution. <br />
<div style="text-align: center">After a long debate and forced to go through a Government Shutdown (Made to sleep on the couch) the Secratary of Defense (the wife) has approved a limited budget for the building.  We hope to lobby the Secratary soon (take her out to dinner) for more funding.  But for now we have enough to begin the hull.<br />

I&#039;ve followed the AOS threads and considered doing a sailing kit, but I know almost nothing about sailing.  In fact, above the deck I can identify what is a mast and what is a sail (just don&#039;t ask what type of mast or sail) and almost nothing else.  So this thread will document design of the kit and I&#039;ll pose questions from time to time on rules interpretations and sailing terminology.<br />

There is a 20 oz weight hanging from the deck just behind the main mast.  It is attached by  (2)1/16&quot; rods to arms on the gun trays.  The tray arms were made by cutting the dual rudder arm in half since I&#039;ll use single arm.  Each tray will weigh about 1.1 lb once the cannons are installed.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I was curious about the rationale behind the gph limit on the pump.  I come from a fast gun format, so I have no experience with a rate limited pump.  Why not have a restrictor and let captains decide how much space/weight via batteries/motor they devote to damage control?  Doesn&#039;t a gph limit mean that a ship of size x will sink with roughly y number of holes?  I&#039;d rather have more control of when I sink/strike.  Just asking, as I said I have no experience with this method of pump...<br />

The circuit is simple and the programming is too, and circuit cost about $25. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I know I missed the initial discussions on the penetrable areas, but I would like to reopen that area if I may without stepping on any toes. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie9" alt=":eek:" title="Eek!    :eek:" />  I have several reasons for wanting to re-open the ideas for penetrable areas in the bow, stern, and Quarter Galleries.
