Rob Clarke built the second NABS Nelson Class ship. This one had two pairs of dual sidemounts and a stern gun in a 6" secondary turret. Quite a nice model. With it's slowish speed and wide turing circle it wasn't at all 'over-powered' as a combat model, despite the 4 side-mounted cannons. Though not as good in competition as a QE Class the Nelsons were always my favorite British battleships ; I'm building HMS Rodney as a replacement for Warspite.
We found the model to be a very good battling model. It was very seaworthy with the high freeboard and maneuverability was good. The Dual sidemounts made it a tough opponent to go side to side with. Not an easy ship to sink.
