Panzer and Scharnhorst56 like this.

      HMS Barham. A ralph Cole hull that had 2 owners and currently resides with Chris Osborne. This model had a rough start and was nearly discarded as trash but was saved and rebuilt by Chris Osborne. It saw action with Nabs for a few short years. Sadly the last owner passed away and the model was left with Chris who now takes care of it.

      The original builder was Rob Clarke of NABS, who finished the model in 2001. It was active in NABS for a few years before Norm Wasson bought and super-detailed it.

      I think Rob got that hull from Ralph in 2000?
    • Bob Pottle

      Correct. I think he completed Barham in 2001, the same year Warspite was finished. The model had recurrent drive problems related to use of plastic dog-bone connectors that broke. A couple of times it went dead in the water and was sunk by smaller ships, including HMS Gorgon, Canarias and a Lutzow.

      I think Chris and Norm converted it to more durable metal and nylon u-joint connections between motors and shafts.

      @Bob Pottle
      Yes I believe your right about the Barham being Completed the same year as Warspite.
