Hi, I found these websites which offer 1:144 scale aircraft This site: http://www.petersplanes.com/models.htm has Arado Ar196, Supermarine Walrus, Loire 130, Vought OS2U, Yokosuka 'Glen' This site: http://airalex.homestead.com/KITSFORSALE.html has Fairey Swordfish amoung others. I have no idea as to the quality of the kits or the reliablity of those selling them. But I think I am going to find out.....
I bought some planes from Air Alex in the fall of 2003. I did not get them until the fall of 2004. I was not happy. He was not even returning my e-mails. I thought I was out $100+. As a "Sorry about that" he sent some decals. The planes themselves were good, not great. Needed a little cleaning up in places where the plastic over ran the mold. I think he took a mold off a diecast plane I've seen for sale in the hobby stores.
I see Peter has the elusive kingfisher... here is my contribution... http://www.sweetaviationmodels.com/
nice looking JAPANESE NAVAL ZERO FIGHTERS http://www.bcmini.com/id109.html some outher 1/144 aircraft http://www.bcmini.com/id110.html
if you go to the 'bcmini' site and click on 1/144 Biplanes you'll see two versions of the WWII Swordfish torpedo bomber, one specifically for an HMS Ark Royal squadron. A few Swordfish would look good on HMS Eagle or Furious (WWII). Bob
