Not guaranteed to work, but I had a similar problem w/ a new radio once & it turned out the battery I was powering Rx with was low. Swapped for charged one and it worked much better :bang:

Receiver light blinking is the low voltage alarm, if that helps...

Thank you both! I dearly hope that is what's wrong.

Even when powered from a ESC with a BEC, I still get a fast blinking light. When I try to bind the Rx, the light slows down like it's supposed to, but the light doesn't go solid when I remove the bind plug. When I unplug and replug the battery, the light starts blinking at the fast rate again.

For those who want more channels, the website says this xmitter/receiver works with the TGY-CEV01 2A i-Bus Receiver Channel Expander, that expands 1 channel into 4 channels. HobbyKing lists this for $8.25 from their USA East warehouse...

Maybe you need to remove the power, then remove the binding plug, instead of pulling the binding plug while it is still powered?

Nah, I'll have to buy another one. The one I have is junk now. I accidentally knocked off one of gizmos from the circuit board while trying to remove the case. It still has the same behavior as before, but I doubt it will ever work again.

@jch72 I tried that and probably every other combination of procedures. Just wouldn't work.

Dont remember what radio you had before, but some comments indicated the cheapo 6ch hk v2 rx would work if you have one lying about.

I currently have a 9x. I'll have to buy one of those when I order and see if it will work. Thanks!

Maybe I won't though since there actually more expensive than the Ai6 receivers. :)

Bought the Hobbyking receiver anyhow. The iA6 receivers were out of stock. Hopefully it works. :)

I didn't mean to suggest that you should buy it, just to try it if you had it, but hey, now that you're getting one, let us know if it works.

I'll definitely let you all know if it works. If not, people say they work the 9x as well. Between the two radios, one has gotta work. ;)

Anyone got any ideas where I can scrounge parts for this? I'd like to convert the throttle (its actually my stern guns if I don't physically rearrange the TX or rewire my brain) to a spring return.

Do you need both gimbals to be spring return? If not, couldn't you just swap gimbals?

Yeah, I like all 4 stick channels to be spring return. I could swap the gun-sticks for buttons I guess, but I've never been a very good button masher.

Well, quick testing has shown the receiver won't bind with the iA6. Bound and worked fine with the 9x. I'll have to do further testing sometime next week.
