    I just spoke with Josh.
He says that August 13-16 works for him as well.
I was also just on the phone with Roland, and he is going to contact the
site-owner again, and double-check about that weekend.
If all goes well, then we will have the dates set.

Josh says that he plans to have both the Deutschland, and the Von Der Tann
ready for the event. Yeah. Another new ship on the water.
Josh will try to up-date the data-base.
Both of his ships are on 2.4 gig.

    Hello all,
If you are planning to attend please sign up on the Yahoo Data Base. We need to be sure we have enough Co2 for the event.
    Thank you,

The dates are now set for the 2009 Treaty Conference being held at our Ravenna, Ohio battle site. (Akron)
    August 13-16 (Thursday-Sunday) 2009.
The big-gun groups are invited to attend and battle in between our sorties.
    More info soon.

    All
I was talking with Bobo about how the big-gunners generally don't do sortie style battles, but instead have a start time, and a stop time, which sometimes can last for hours. Say 10am-noon, then break for lunch, and then say 1pm-3pm. Or something like that. Anyhow, Bobo asked why we couldn't just let the big-gunners have the half of the pond that we don't use anyhow, if they wanted to battle more than just in between our sorties.
So to make a long story even longer, I spoke with Roland, and he says that would be fine. So I will post that option to the big-gun community, and see what they think.
I think this is a great idea (and I am sooo glad I thought of it). Sorry bobo. But if you want credit for your ideas, you need to post them before I have a chance to. It's a short-term memory loss thing.
    Haha.
I hope we get a chance to see how it works out, as it would give us more flexability down the road with inviting the other formats to our events.

    Thanks for posting the info.
Do you know if there is any campgrounds nearby (just in case someone is interested in camping)?

If anyone is interested in flying in, I will try to make arrangements for transportation if needed.

I will cross-post the info to the other sites.

It is a possibility that the Gascogne will be at the Treaty Conference. :)

I found out the other day that the post office here may have slightly larger size restrictions on packages than the States. It might be enough to ship the ship. :)

So I've put the Gascogne on the front projects burner in an attempt to get it done in time. (does this sound familier Mikey? Heh). I just ordered the solenoid valves, pump, and lifeboats/launches this morning from BC. Luckily, I brought a set of basic cannons with me. :)

I have never seen a Gascogne on the water. And I can't wait.

    Hey all,
It looks like the Gascogne will not be at the Conference. Time and size limitations prevented me from getitng it shipped in time.
So, it looks like I'll be using the Richelieu instead. I'll bring along the Gloire too. :)

Although I would have liked to see the Gascogne out there at the conference, I am tickled that you will be there with any ship.
    I can't hardly wait.

    Guys,
I'll not be able make the event this year. Mike Demarco, when you get back I will have a full 20lb Co2 bottle here in Red Lion. I hope to have one of my class 4 ships done.
It will more than likely be mt Von der Tann. It was sold last week, twice. One guy said the check was in the mail. Two weeks, still no check. Another guy said yes he wanted it. I emailed him and said it was his. Now no answer from him.
We can try the new pond.
    Bob

I have up-dated our ships for the Conference.
We had to take the Renown out of service due to the plastic hull deteriorating.
I will still be running the Hood as my primary boat.
Vance will be running my old Jean Bart from IRCWCC days with less cannons, and
    increased pumping capacity.
Marina will be running the Clemenceau (Bat's old Richelieu from IRCWCC days
(also with less cannons, and increased pumping capacity).
The trusty old Strasbourg will be there as well, as a back-up/loaner boat.

Anyone else have any more up-dates??

I've finally arrived in the States. :)

Haven't pulled the ships out of storage yet though. Hopefully will have time tomorrow to pull them out, go over them, and get them ready for the conference.

That is great news. Having a pair of the big Germans will be a first. Should tickle Roland.
