Its gotten eerily quiet around here with so many off to fight in the great war. Did we forget to send reporters to this conflict?

It is quiet. Like a city after it is bombed.

The IRCWCC Yahoo Group is plenty busy, however.

    Nats update
Monday axis win both battle by about 10,000 point
Tuesday am no official scores but it looks like a is win morning battle by much more than 10k.
Campaign was closer but still should be an axis win.

So far the Axis are ahead, by about 40,000. Axis have won all combat actions so far, night is next at 9 Pm tonight.
Axis usually rule the night because of Allied apathy (they don't show).

It's too dark at night for night battle.
Night battle should be earlier in the day when there's more light.
No one goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

    NATS report:

Awesome action. Seeing 36 combat warships on the water prior to battle commencing was.....inspiring. Despite record heat (100+ all week), great fun was had by all. Oakboro is a great venue. Lots of shade trees made even these temps bearable. Limited spectators meant very few interruptions due to someone wandering through w/o safety glasses.

From my personal viewpoint: Ship worked well with only minor glitches that were easily corrected. Only problem is...it was McSpuds VdT! My Baden, despite TWO refits since last year's NATS, still exhibits "gremlins". One solenoid refuses to fire. Troubleshot, found problem & fixed. Now previously working other solenoid quits. After chasing gremlins Sunday night & Monday night, Baden was parked for duration & I drove VdT. Baden's last trouble-free configuration will be re-implimented (servo-driven microswitches firing solenoids & pump, ESC for drive motor).

McSpuds debuted his Evstafi-class Russian predreadnought. Pretty ship, very nasty with it's twin 15-degree bow guns. And light enough to pick up easily with one hand!

    More later....

The Axis had a couple of more boats than the Allied. Allied had more 5 unit boats. Axis had more 3 unit light boats.
