I think it could be a pretty nasty customer. Some of those single rudder ships @Maxspin dislikes are also good ships in their own right. South Carolina is a pretty good choice to make IMO.

Stats and excel sheets do very little on the water. Build quality and reliability far outstrip any stat.
I can definitely vouch for the reliability part being a huge factor based on my experiences at this years Nats, even if your ship is well built.
Wellll….. Espana · Single rudder · Very short · Limited to two turrets Mississippi · Very short · No drag props · Limited to two turrets Andria Doria · NOT low in the water (no casements) Lion??? · In a small pond? “Common Man”
Put your money where your mouth is. Show up with your Yamato instead of your Nassau. for the small pond.
Yes Yes you are totally right and a wonder to modern combat, there there being just so good at this hobby I am just humbled at your ability.
If the Allies went almost entirely PDN and WW1 era stuff, could make for an i Why is 'very short' a negative here? it might make the build a little harder, but its awful useful on the pond to be short. 2 turrets is not a big deal when you only have 3-4 units to work. A few more options is always nice of course, but I don't see it as a demerit on a short ship with few units.
O.K. you got me. That's One...... "neutral" slugger. Still only has one rudder. You were right the first time building the Nassau.
You have some weird thing about being right or wrong. This is a hobby of toy boats built by old men and boys, for just the fun of it. That is the part I fear you missed, good luck with your graphs and charts. And yes if I built it I will probably battle it for a couple of years maybe more, most of my builds have battled three or more years up to thirteen. Have you battled the same boat for 13 years?
Quality of build is most important, and learning from your mistakes. QE has a new drivetrain where the shaft can't get bent, and battery types/placements are revamped as well. Getting some help from an uber builder as well.
