If anybody's bringing a camper and looking for a campground, the Ionia state recreation area is between the motel and the battle pond. Showers, Bathrooms, full power hookups available. $22/night, plus the annual rec pass sticker charge. cost me $214 to stay at the campground for the whole week. I love the CG. I found it last fall, and that's where I stay when I go to Saranac. great mushroom hunting.
They are remodeling the rooms, I was just able to secure a single. I had put in a reservation using the online booking when this was announced, DO NOT use it as it only goes to the owner and not front desk.
