Sold! 3 Scharnhorst Battleships

This started at a father and son's project years ago but as life had it they never got off the dry dock.

3 Hulls, bilge pumps, motors, props, plans and a variety of brass fittings.

Asking price is $450.00 - this is a package deal, does not include shipping. Will not piece out sale.

are those the plans from an Akula?

 

Not sure if they are the plans from an Akula, they are the plans I got when I purchased the Sharnhorst

 

They definitely have nothing to do with the Scharnhorst lol. Those are sub plans for sure. If I didn't already have two of them I would buy these. Someone get em and stop my fantasizing about a six pack of Scharnhorst class ships all set up to compliment each other as a pack lol.

 

You're right.. mixed in with the Sharnhorst plans are some sub plans that my son bought. Didn't mean to have those in the post, they will be removed. Thanks rcaircraftnut for pointing it out, I should have paid more attention to the pictures I was taking.

Hey! I caught it first! lol an Akula is the specific class of submarine those plans you posted detail.

Just out of curiosity, why are you selling them as a package deal?
I mean, you do you and all, but it seems that you'd be able to sell them faster and at a better price if you parsed them out. When you're selling a set of studded tires, you don't want to sell one of the tires at a time, you want to sell all four to one guy for maximum utility, but unlike tires, these boats are each a fully independent unit.

If you don't want to go into it, I understand and won't be butt-hurt. I'm a scientist, so questions and mysteries are my thing.

 

Why selling as a package - its a steal for anyone wanting them. True sold individually would generate more cash but also more hassle and potentially end up still having one or two hulls hanging around. They are priced fair for a buyer, actually its a steal for the person buying them. Hull's by themselves are $145 a piece.

 

Oh okay cool. yeah you do have them priced to fly out the door, that's for sure. I'll go back to lurking. if it helps, there's a guy that is into Scharnhorsts just down the road from you in Athens that might be worth bothering.
