Hi there. I see there are a number of 3d printing files available for download. My question i have is that are these files good to go or do they have to be modified?

    Thanks

Generally it depends on the file and your printer. Some of the files need to be sliced to fit on your print surface. Some need to be rotated/oriented for best print quality.

I think @Beaver's files need to be scaled from imperial units (what he likes to use) to metric (what 99% of us use for 3dp) by a factor of 2.54. Other then that, most of the ones I've tried to print are good to go as is,but that assumes your printer is setup and working correctly.

Some of my older models are in imperial (sorry not sorry) but the last few I've done in mm's so I don't have the hear the Canadians complaining about scaling. Lol ;)
