most clubs fail because of loss of ther pond. we have 2 ponds yet we cant get anybody to show up.should we disband club or get our collective asses of the couch
The Michigan boys are always interested in a battle, but we are not willing to come down if no one will be on the pond waiting for us.
All We had an opportunity to have a pretty good battle at one of the two day events late last year. The problem was communication. The Michigan guys showed up on Saturday only, and the Dayton guys showed up on Sunday only. Not that I think that the two groups are the only ones that battle, but to some extent, the rest of the battler's in the MBG are counting on our two fleets to show up at the same time. I am under the impression that there will be a battle scheduled late in May at Phil's. If it is a one day meet, then we all need to show up with our ships and battle. If it is a two day event, then we don't all need to attend both days, but we do need to communicate our intentions, and show up on the same day so that we can have a battle. There are others out there that have not battled lately because they also have shown up just to not get to battle in the past. We have the ships already. We can have a great battle with what we have if we just communicate. Mikey
I think we should not have anymore two day battles until we are stronger / more active. The two day battles force a certain communication level that we just don't have. On that note, we do have a calendar that we should update if we have battle dates. I can either show someone how to do that (easy) or if someone sends me the info, I'll do it.
Is there anyone that would consider a Battle in the next Month or so ??? boy the MBG is a shadow of its former self.... Speak up ....
All Phil and I attended a fly-in at the Wright-Pat air-force base to show off the hobby. Pictured here is my fleet, or most of it anyhow. Battlestations (96th scale) Strasbourg, Big-gun Bearn aircraft-carrier/convoy-ship, and Treaty Strasbourg, and Brooklyn class light cruiser. Mikey
