    According to the armament chart in the beta AOS rules, the 20-gun Mercury is a 6th-rate post-ship, with 8 guns. She has a very impressive history and a good set of digital plans, too. I'll bring 'em over on my flash drive next time I see you.

    The Constitution is one heckuva ship. She always carried more than her rated 44 guns during wartime, and her hull was not only 3" thicker than contemporary frigates, it was made of stronger wood, too. No wonder the British considered her a 4th rate and ordered all frigates to avoid engaging her except with a 2-to-1 (or better) numerical advantage. She was literally 20 years ahead of her time. I was debating between building HMS Victory and USS Constitution, but after Sunday's adventure I think I'll build the Constitution as soon as I can.
