Hate to rain on the parade but the Hood is probably a worse choice than the Alaska, especially for a rookie. A Lion would be good or an I-Boat if you can get find a swampy hull that someone has.
There's also the Ralph Coles Indefatigable. I think it's a better hull then the swampy Invincible (thicker, roomier, still short with dual rudders)
Not sure when it was changed Curt, before my time, which was not that long ago, this Nov will only be the end of my second year in the hobby. This is a MWC rule for ships over 720 ft, so if you made one of the longer ships like a Renoun or Hood, at least it could be shooting back at them with twin side guns, before the other ship turned away and sterned you. The 3 ships I see this really helping out is the NC, Littorio, and Scharnhorst if someone was going to do it. The Littorio and Scharny I think the most of all. With 2 guns to the side, will be able to do that little bit more damage to compensate for the poor turning. The sooned you call five the sooner your off the water with these 2 targets.
take a look at www.battlersconnection.com and take a look in the catalog - combat ships - and stay in battleship or battle cruiser area.
Tuggy, I cant imagine Buckaroo Banzaii being the greatest comedy ever.... But then again, I love the movie "death to smoochy"
Way to come in late tom, extra points for that. Even more pouints for liking death to smoochy, that was funny.
Sorry,~ i'm a casual lurker...not yet a habitual poster. but who knows, maybe i'll even become part of the evil axis empire growing in the New england task force...
I am a habitual poster and proud of it, for a time, i was going to be the first admiral without a ship (ironic, i know). And yes, please, we could use more axis in the NETF, im feeling kind of lonely.
