There are some fast gunners in NC not far from you. Actually, their big nationals will be in Oakboro in a few weeks.

The IRCWCC Nationals is in Oakboro, NC July 18-22. It is only a couple of hours away for you. I'm sure everybody would be happy to see you there, with or without a ship.

Spartanburg isn't very far from statesboro, ga, where there are 4 active battlers plus one building. This number does not count battlers in Savannah nor Charleston who come to our build sessions :) Next build session is on 02 July if you'd like to come.

I would be the closest on Concord, NC just outside of Charlotte.

No, the closest would be here in NC and Atlanta. Steve Crane lives in Greenville but he is currently in China for the next year or so.

i am real close to greenville and atlanta is farther than Concord. I think I will stick to my guns and build my own pond on our property out of a 6 foot wide creek. how big should the pond be?

    How big?

I'd aim for something at least 3' deep, with about the same surface area as a tennis court, minimum.

wow that is big! I am thinking i am good on depth but size i am not sure. I have not personally been to the creek myself but plan to in the near future by use of rc plane and camera. I will report back soon.
