    The mystery of the plans has been solved!
    The numbers just didn't add up at first: the beam was in scale on the 1/48 sheets, but the length wasn't. Draft was in scale on the 1/96 sheet, but the length wasn't. Today, I discovered the cause of the discrepancy: the builder's plans show length as 225' not 255'.

    At 225' WL everything is to scale. The variances I had on the 1/48 plans was me measuring with and without the ram bow
    All of the other references I have been able to find list length at 255', including Conway's, however I am tempted to think that there was a typo at one point early on in the records and that is where the length difference came from.

    Chase, if you check your plans on the hull form page you will see the middle image clearly lists length at 225' minus the 6' of ram bow.

    I think its a cool ship, but I'm pretty sure I don't have plans for it. :)
