That was a fun & productive weekend. We went from a pile of plywood to FIVE hulls complete w/ water channeling and wire-run holes through the ribs. Including the proto-prototype (Tuggy's) that has the original displacement (determined to be too much) and Spudsy's (imported from KY, cut down to meet new displacement figures), we now have 7 AC hulls. Spuds plans to have a BB (maybe 2) cut out in the next week or so. Steampunk LIVES!!

I could calculate the displacement of the BB from the plans, if that would be helpful.

Could be.... judging by the results on the AC's, I'd bet we could go with the same draft on the BB. The greater beam would still give a lot more displacement than the cruiser for the same length & draft. Suggest you crunch both the current and the "reduced" numbers, see how they look.

I just need a set of the plans so that the CAD program can analyze them.

Jeff marked each piece, then was reminded later that he could have just marked one, then used it as the guide for all of them, LOL

See Jeff!, you can trace one template, then use it for all of these with a clamp! No need to trace all of them! :whistling:

Looks like it was a blast. Again, if anybody in the Mid-Atlantic is interested in a build weekend, speak up. TyngTech facilities can provide air-conditioned bug free comfort in a neat and orderly methane filtered shop with floor standing big-boy tools! ;-)

In addition, Tyng Hospitality (the Admiral) has graciously volunteered it's extensive rest and relaxation facilities for any and all who wish to partake (three guests rooms and 60 and 50" plasma's). We can even accommodate couples with two queen suites available.

Nice pics, glad to hear the build sessions went well. Hopefully I will get to see them in action on labour day weekend.

I believe that Herr Spuds is projecting his gastronomic war crimes onto two of his victims... His gleeful cackling after each noxious emission was horrifying to hear, if only because it signaled the beginning of another 5-minute period during which it was not safe to breathe.

The angry pic was me offering to plug the offending orifice with a piece of scrap wood :)

And as for the money quote: 'Housekeeping is not Clark's strong suit...' All I can say is: people don't call me for housekeeping advice!:woot:

Where are you at Steve? I can drive Northeast just as well as I do SouthEast.
