All I have ready or close to ready is the DKM Scharnhorst. So Axis it is.

Dang I was supposed to be unveiling my 1/4 scale triplane the weekend after the 4th at the Oklahoma dawn patrol. Also it would be better if I had vacation time but alas that will be next year as I just started this job. A week is ootq. May be able to do the final weekend starting Friday. But that will have to wait till about 2 weeks before to even think about trying to get a load up there set up. Dang it I could drive up in the car and do the whole week of I had the vacation time but I can't take the financial hit of a week off work plus the event and travel expenses.

Well, Nats is approaching, and I thought it would be appropriate at this point to share this significant part of this year's top-secret Axis strategy.

(Allies, feel free to read this, you won't understand it anyway, it's in super-sekrit WRB-code)

After 35 years driving a Axis boat I come to the realization that I may in fact be Allied, or the Commodore is a Allied plant just making like a Axis.

Ahem, Pls bear in mind the hygienic expectations of the allied fleet. We also require two years of college, a minimum of six teeth etc..

Question is if the AXIS would understand your “super-sekrit WRB code”.

Won't be making Nats this year sadly. Not enough vacation time. Had to use what I had saved up helping a friend in need.

This guy too!! Somebody needs to do something about this. Good thing is after cleaning the grill I got 100lbs of ground buffalo and a few steaks were lodged in the windshield wipers. Oh well...

So, sorry I've been away all, I was rather bummed out for a bit, thinking that I wasn't going to be able to go to Nats after all. Thankfully, the boss has said I can go, so now I'm rushing to catch up and re-sheeting the flagship for the coming battle. Hope everyone's preparations are going well, and look forward to seeing everyone in Tennessee in a couple of weekends.

(I'll try to post a pic or two this weekend. We'll see how it goes)

    Soon ... soon!

Meanwhile, here's a leak of some Axis secret weapon testing.

Will it be ready in time? Will the Schwartz be with us???

(Well, I heard Kaz is coming, so perhaps the Schwartz will be with the Allies. We shall see!)

    :p

Now that I've recovered a bit from post Nats burn out ... a little post-mortem and commentary should be appearing on these pages this weekend. Suffice to say, Congratulations to the Axis fleet on a hard earned 2018 victory. The rest will follow. :)
