Hi, folks. I recently heard that the WWCC is experimenting with Duct Tape as an alternative to 1/16" balsa. According to their reports, different brands of tape have noticeably different levels of protection, but it seems to be relatively consistent within a single brand. Penetrability was reportedly "fine", as demonstrated by the six loaner transports that got totally shredded in every sortie at the Maker Faire. Has anyone else experimented with duct tape as a sheeting material? Are there brands that meet the Fast Gun drop test for penetrability of 1/32" balsa?
