The Midwest Naval Combat Club will be hosting it's annual Battle of the Denmark Straits event at the Xenia, Ohio battle site on May 20-22. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Both Treaty, and Battlestations formats will be in action. Taking turns fighting sortie-style battles.
Start times will be at 10 am on all three days. And the battles will go on until 5 pm.

At some point during the event, we will have our Denmark Straits battle.
HMS Hood, and HMS Prince of Wales will take on the DKM Bismarck, and DKM Prinz Eugen.

There is a chance that we will also have the Bismarck's last stand battle as well.
    We will post up-dates later.

The Xenia event is two weeks away. May 20-22.
Treaty will be there in their usual force.
We are hoping to have all of our Battlestations ships on hand. We might be able to beat the old record for number of Battlestations boats in a battle.
It sounds like we will have some of the air-soft, and laser tanks on-hand to do some tank battles.
And we are trying to get the Age of Sail folks to bring those along as well to at least get some up-to-date photos.

Our Denmark Straits event is this coming weekend in Xenia, Ohio on May 20-22. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The HMS Rodney will not be in service this time around. So we will not be able to recreate the Bismarck's final battle.
But at some point during the event we will be recreating the battle of the Denmark Straits.

Awesome time today. Scharnhorst is working great, giving more than he was taking. Great fun. Tomorrow promises to be epic. Will have to get some new AA and secondary turrets, as they are somewhere on the bottom of the pond, lol. Didn't get sunk, just weren't glued on well enough to stand up to direct fire, lol. Had to do some last minute mods to my setup on the Mogador this eve as when we float tested it it was extremely top heavy and unstable. Lowered the battery and the bottle as well as a smaller bottle so the weight can be added at the keel as ballast tomorrow. Well off to bed.

Had a great day today, despite finding out that Marks little red tug doesn't need a gun to sink the Mogador, just a youngun named Alex at the helm, haha. Big hole, lucky I was already aimed directly at shore and moving at a food clip lol. The late night mods to it last night worked a treat, stable, turns well, and all guns worked perfectly. However, I didn't get to battle Phill, as I had a speed control issue to sort out and he had to leave just as I got it sorted. Oh well, next time. Had to run Scharnhorst as a stand in for Bismarck in the battle of the Denmark straits, as Bismarck was tied up in homeport. Had too much fun. Can't wait till the next one. First Class event all around. Good food, good company, great battles. Chasing Marks Minion around the pond was great fun. Little thing is super maneuverable. Acquired another ship to play around with, BB 27 USS Michigan. And the rumor is, I may have a Montana headed for my fleetwerks, stay tuned for more info as it develops.

What is a food clip? Does that have anything to do with a quick lunch?
