wow not bad wish i could get one. my parents are finally thinking about putting a pond on our 3.18 acres of property. We do have two creeks one about 3 or four feet wide and the other around 6 or 7. I personally thought about rechanneling the big creek and making a good size pond for all of the rc navy boys in the vicinity. how big would a good pond be?

20` x 20` would be about the smallest you would want to do. Bigger is better though especially if people will be running the larger battleships in it.

I don't believe he asked to see a picture of the pond the OAF uses. Its really nothing but a square reservoir pond.

I actually had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman who worked in the machine shop aboard the Andrea Doria. Unfortunaltely this engineer created a Cross connection into the City's water supply and pumped 75,000 gallons of contaminated water in our system. He even made an actual scale model out of metal with rotating turrents and elevating guns. Beautiful ship

Well there were actually several different ships that carried the name "Andrea Doria" named after the Italian Admiral:

SS Andrea Doria (1951–1956), passenger ship, sunk after colliding with the MS Stockholm
Italian battleship Andrea Doria, two Italian battleships of the name
Italian cruiser Andrea Doria (C553) (1964–1980s)
    Italian destroyer Andrea Doria (D553) (2005– )
Andrew Doria (1775 brig), sometimes spelled as Andrea Doria, American brig, which received the first salute to the Stars and Stripes flag

Nikki, the message says "This guy served on the BATTLESHIP Andrea Doria".

Read twice, then reply if need be. I think you're hitting reply a bit too fast, this is the second time today you've asked a question that was already answered in the past day in the same thread.
