nice! RC Planes are up there with the RC boats and it gives you something to do in between battles Nikki
I strictly stay away from anything that flies in the air. My experience has been that if it goes up it has to come back down, and usually it's not graceful. Lol I helped my brother build his drone, but I'm leery about flying it. Give me a car, tank, or boat any day of the week. lol
Been flying since I was 13. Started with control line and free flight then got into rc. First nitro rc plane was 16 yrs old. Been doing them ever since.
I am at the wiring stage. Looming it all up nice. Going to solder the wires directly to the bed to eliminate the connector and loom it up nice. And I know about supporting the solder joint so it won't break the wires at the the end of the tinning.
That's the test pla that came with it. I have a spool of Hatchbox abs that will be going on it as soon as I get the enclosure built.
I see a slight bit of underextruding, but it looks good. I'm glad to see you're having success. ABS is a slightly different game than pla, mainly warp. I found disappearing purple glue sticks to work really well with abs for bed adhesion before I switched to PEI. Nice thing disappearing purple is before a print you can give the bed a wipe with a damp cloth and see where you need to add more glue because it turns back to purple when it's damp.
Thanks. Printing a y axis belt tensioner upgrade now as the broken part is bugging me. Lol. See vid for ziptie printing lol.
