I just came up with the perfect name to put on this boat. Squirill. If I spelled it rite? Lol. But anyway as it is a distraction, name it after the mother of all distractions to a dog.

pro-tip: Germans can't say "Squirrel" very well. it makes them laugh. so if you ever get the opportunity, make germans say "squirrel"

15178858552681083260564.jpg Made a cradle for the header tank. Servo mounting finalised. N3d to make a throttle linkage and shorten the bolts for the engine so the main tank will fit without hitting them, then it will be ready for sanding and finishing.

The pod. Lol. Still need to sheet the sponsons on the hull and make a main deck cover. Then I can glass the hull and paint it.

I've got glue! Work continues. Non trip chines in place. As with the rest of the hull I added square stock to increase gluing area. After glassing this thing should be bulletproof. 20180208_202400.jpg

Not sure why but the bow reminds me of the grill on a Deloreon. Lol.

Ready for final sanding except for the hardwood block bow bumper. All in all a pretty easy build for an experianced builder. For a newb though, the istructions are sorely lacking and the wood quality is horible. I acctually tossed the supplied hardwood for the engine bearers and pod mounts as it was twisted as well as bent 3 ways. Insane. Added all the sqaure stock to overcome this die crunched doorskin the call birch ply. Lol.

Gonna get some fiberglass sheet or lexan maybe. Use it to make a hatch cover so the top os all sealed up and smooth.

Too much dust for indoors last night so I got some more covering applied on my Balsa USA 1/4 scale Fokker DR1 triplane. Hope to actually complete it this year. Been procrastinating since I dont have the engine yet. Pics when I get it all covered. May be next month. Lol.

Aaahhhhrrrrggggggg. I have GOT to get my ships down here from Ohio. I am on a tear in the shop area and have almost ran out of partially finished projects lol. Just got this ready for paint. It was just bare framework Wednesday. Now I will have to buy the engine for it since that and paint is all it now needs. 20180210_183208.jpg 20180210_183105.jpg

Thanks. A guy I used to be friends with framed it up. I just covered it and changed the mounting for the aileron servos. The way he had it was more scale, but the linkage geometry was not to my liking. The way it is now you can see the servo arm and ball link but works much better and is easier to maint.

Worry about finishing a ship. Any ship EXCEPT mine. You are too clingy about it. This is why you are under a 100% hands off policy regarding my ships Nikki. I have been nice. Now I will try blunt.
