I was browsing the Library of Congress photographic section and found this picture of the predreadnought USS Mississippi. www.loc.gov/pictures/resource/det.4a16081/
I wonder if it is a lighting effect. The date on the image is the same as another picture of Mississippi with over all grey.
I read its a good heli to start as its plastic, durable (in comparison to non plastic), cheap to repair, and available here in singapore. I wonder if it offers a better stability. also wondering if any way I can setup the CP to act like a FP - and at later time when more XP, can use the CP attributes. esky rc helicopter I read this funny review here (bias I'm sure) but they do have some valid points .
Look at the water around the ship; the water immediately left and right of the hull is darker than the rest of the water, almost like someone tried primitive shading just around the boat.
I had thought that was a cloud shadow, but looking at the edges of the image I wonder if it was some distortion of the negative. Though considering the age I would have thought it was a glass plate negative which really would not distort in that manner.
Here's a pic of USS Michigan in the same paint scheme: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USS_Michigan.jpg I think it's a predecessor to the later MS22. I actually painted my MI the same scheme, it looked good.
