I have finally started to build my first ship. I picked this Cleveland up when I was 16 and had someone start to help me build it and he moved out west so it has been sitting ever since. I have now joined forces with Will,Steve,Kevin and Marty and they have helped me start to build this ship and guide me through it. We got the subdeck sanded down so it would fit the hull. We did water channeling which came out excellent. Then we figured out where the rudder, motors, and pump would go. I will post pictures when I am back at the shop. The next few things I will be doing it mounting the rudder and motors in place. Will keep updating as I make progress.

Sorry for the long delay have been pretty sick and trying to build as much as I can I did the water proofing with Will,Steve,Kevin, and Marty. I have the motors mounts now and the rudder in and got the decks all cut and ready to go into the ship. Slow but steady progress. Hopefully will get to another build session with them.

Looks good so far. I like the Clevelands, they are pretty boats.

Sadly I was going to keep posting here with a time line of photos and such on the progress but the ship was near finished when a tree came through my workshop and make the fiberglass hull into 4 pieces. Will try to build one at a later date but moving on from it.

Sadly I wish I could fix it but they aren’t perfect and it would be a ton of work to try and line everything back up and make it work.
