After talking to some of the guys on here I have decided to hold off on building the Saratoga for now. I have decided that I want to build the Kongo instead. I was wondering what the best source for plans would be. I would like to build a wood boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. the source that I have found so far is: http://www.taubmansonline.com/JAPANESE-144SCALE.htm
the plans from strike i got are very very good. 2 different plans actually. one in japanese and very detailed the other simplified.
The profile morskie plans are very good also. They do a good job of breaking down the various parts of the ship superstructure. IMHO, very important for those complicated Japanese designs.
Im not seeing rolled plans (only fiberglass hull) for the Kongo on strikemodels, that was where i started looking. maybe Ill call and ask. at one point I had found a link to a Japanese company that sold the plans but have since lost it.
They have more plans than whats listed with the hull kits http://www.strikemodels.com/products/ship-plans/
