Well Bismarck, Tirpitz and Crew will be in NB as of July. OAF has been contacted and a date is pending for a battle in or near Fredricton late summer. Possible for a few stateside bouys to come up and I think the Montreal group has been contacted. Thanks again to Chuck for this. He proposed the N.B. location as a neutral/everyone can get to it site. I'm sure you can fly in the week of to Osborne's and you and the Emporer can join myself and the german armada in Fred.

Let's see what happens. So far it looks like five ARCC members for sure will be able to attend.... we'll see what happens from there.

I figured out a way to remove my old motor. Going to cut down the middle of the faceplate of the motormount(wood) and create a slot just wide enough to pull the motor straight up through it. This way I can keep the mount in place and then remove the Universal collar.

Cool no problem. I didn't get a chance this weekend to work on Bis. It will be ready though I have no doubt about that. I got the mineral oil and RTV silicone for the servos.

don't quite know how to respond to that.... the drive just isn't there.

there were three persons driving this hobby/sport up here for years. one moved away. one quit for medical reasons. the other is on a self imposed leave due to stupidness. without the people to drive and inspire the wheels are coming off. it seems like no one is really noticing that.

Where did you find RTV?? Make sure it is not acetone based!! Do you have the same servos as the video because mineral oil is not going to work as well in some servos ie futaba 3003.

Not at all several members are out there trying to get things going, it may not be what everyone was used to but that does not mean that it won't work. This is not to belittle what others have done in the past but maybe it is time to let someone else take up the cause and run with it for a while and see how it goes. It cannot be any worse than the status que.

Lets just focus on getting those projects ready for the water and arrange to get together. If you can't why should that stop you? Get out there anyway you don't have to arrange to meet any of the members. A lot of this stuff can be done yourself so get out there when you can.
Steve Crane used to bring his ship in the car with him every time he visited Halifax from Wolfville. He take it to the water and launch it even for a few minutes sail just to run it, fire a gun , test a pump or just plain run it.

Me.. I try to take advantage of an opportunity to get out there when I can.
It's not easy and I don't get out much but I don't let that take away my interest or desire to get these models ready.
