Excellent progress today. Curt and I spent a good eight hours working... tweaking... fine tuning... it is good. Finished up just after 2am... it's good. Good! Bis is ready but some last minute details. Tirpitz will need stip to stern work. I will handle throttle and steering servos, electrical harness, complete water channeling, battery tray, armor... whatever needs to be fine tuned there. Also, pump and radio gear. Should be an easy day.... just follow Bismarck and Tirpitz can be completed. Than it is the ugly english ship.

Bismarck was great! A little tlc and check the Dora turret. Should be 100%. Imagine that three sets of duels on a live german battleship killer!

Heh, I should point out that Bismark was having mucho pump problems all weekend that was stressing Craig out a bit, although he managed to get a few nasty combat sorties in anyways, despite the pump.

I think he went thru 3 different pumps, including one I tried to rebuild and salvage for him. It seemed fine when tested but promptly failed shortly after the morning's sortie began.

Yowtch! Sorry Craig, I really tried. And Steve attempted to perform miracles on it too. HHmm? Maybe just remove the pump and add another gun? :)

    Welllllllll!!!!!

Did I have a wierd dream.

I dreamt I took Bismarck down off the shelf (btw.... this was my first model boat dream) and it was cracked and broken. It was just the hull, and there were ribs missing.... it was pretty bad. It was a precise dream, I can look at the hull in real life and point out were the broken/missing bits were. Oh ya, and the hull was back to it's original look after it was cut out, no balsa, no paint. Wierd eh? There were three captains helping with the restorative work, Curt, Paul and Bob. The hull didn't mend and the boat ..... slagged.... itself. I then took a 25lb sledge to it. Go figure. Thought it was worth sharing..... poor Bis.

Damn right..... then I'd be boatless! Unlike some of us who have three or ten boats to spare, eh?

    Curt,
I have Freud's 'Interpretation of Dreams' in my office. Maybe I can figure out what the blazes that dream was about! [8D]

Actually Bob I think it means " I need a vacation" [8D]. The other interpretation is " I need an Allied boat" [:p][8D][:D]

I'm sure that Freud's interpretation would probably have something to do with phallic imagery, and possibly the innate male fear of castration symbolized in the destruction of your prized ship.

Or maybe it's just that you need to get an Allied ship!
