Hey everyone I had a fantastic cruise with Bismarck last Wed evening. I took the model to our largest city lake Quidi Vidi which is nearly a mile long. The regatta racing course is about 4493 ft long and the lake is nearly 5000 ft long. We planned to walk the dog up and down the walking trail that runs parellel with the lake. So I always wanted to walk Bismarck down the length of the lake , turnaround and come back up. I didn't know if the model could do it as it was running 2- 6v 12amp for 6v 24 amp plus the pump will be on as the model encounters chop and swells through the run. Well on with my new rubber boots, prepped the model and off I went.
The model sailed perfectly all the way down. I had conversations with people who were walking with me and observing the model along the route. Made it to one end. Did a check of the internals and went back up the lake again. After I made it to the other end I sailed around for another 30 minutes before the sun went down.
That's the furthest distance I ever sailed that model. It was great.
