Bobbing for the Big Apple. USS New York

    Nick, I was just about to bump this as well haha. I need people to get more work done on their New York class BB's so i can study off of them as I build my Texas.

    Speaking of which, any progress by any of you guys on your NY/TX builds? I'm going to start gluing and skinning my TX this weekend.

    you want to build one of these? the kit is available on Strike.com
    Steve should still have some in stock. they're at the bottom of his "hulls" page

    though the kit has been modified with regard to the aft deck and subdeck. check out my boat on the thread "Fastgun Texas" to see the current configuration. basically they made the aft deck plate longer than this version, which works great because I can easily mount all of my aft guns to the deck with none of the difficulty you'd have in this version with the D turret Haymaker.

    You'll also see the new version omitted the hole for E turret. so be prepared to do some solid layout measurements and drill it out with a 2 inch holesaw
