Yes, you can make the tower into a float. Below you can see how I did mine. With the tower removable, it is also easier to transport. [IMG]

I'm turning mine into Empire Widgeon for convoy duty. I've discovered that with a complete superstructure, all internals, and a 12ah SLA, the water line is just about where the penetrable area ends so I'm going to have to remove a lot of fiberglass to give it 1" penetrable below the waterline.

The penetrable area which results from the kit as built is probably perfect for combat ships carrying much more weight, but I want buoyancy so am running it light. Still very pleased. I'll try to post pictures soon.

You can get 1/144 armor at hobby shops that do wargaming sometimes. I know the HobbytownUSA (a hobby shop that sorted EVERYthing by scale!) in Little Rock carried them, and have seen them in other places during my travels.

I now remember that this store did not do wargaming, but they did have painted 1/144 armor when I lived there five years ago. Roger runs an excellent shop.

What's the brand name or who makes the 1/144 tanks and trucks? May be able to find via search on the internet.
    Thanks, Bob

Grey Wolf Squadron Shipyard sells the trucks, that's easy to find.

Do you make and sell those sheets containing the 20 mm AA guns seperately? I could use those on my Mo and the NC I am building plus my other ships in the fleet.

I don't make the 20mm guns anymore, they turned out to be too fragile. At some point I hope to redesign them and offer them again.

16 pounds exceeds the maximum allowable weight. Please check the ship list and read back through this thread, it answers your questions.
