We are building tomorrow at my boat shop. We hope to get some up-to-date photos of our current projects. Mikey
I am hoping to host a one-day build-session at my shop in Pleasant Hill, Ohio next weekend. August 1 or 2. I will post an up-date later in the week. Roland is hosting a two-day build-session up in Ravenna, Ohio on August 15-16. Some of us are attending that session to help Nikki get her boats ready for the Task-Force 4 event in September. Mikey
Nikki and I were able to attend the build-session this past weekend at Roland's shop in Ravenna. We got a lot done on her Bogue, and that ship will be ready to enter into combat at the Task-Force IV event in September. A nice weekend of war movies, and chatting up the hobby. Mikey
Mikey, Thank you so much for the help.. I hope to have the gun in her by thw time we have are end of the year party.. Niki
We are building at my shop today. Steve is on his way up. And we are expecting one or two more captains to drop in. Mikey
My shop is open for building today, and the early part of the day tomorrow. I will also be hosting a one-day build-session next Sunday Sept 13. Mikey
We will be building in Pleasant Hill again tomorrow. Only two weeks to go until the Task-Force event in Xenia. Mikey
Steve and Jim are coming up for some building today. Only one more week to get ready for the Xenia battle next weekend. The British are coming!' Mikey
I am hosting a three-day build-session / swap-meet at my shop in Pleasant Hill, Ohio on New Year's weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Lots of building. Some swapping. And getting some up-to-date photos of the current projects. Mikey
Building this weekend at my shop in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. 10 am until early evening on both Saturday and Sunday. Mikey
The shop is open for building for the day. Steve V. is heading this way. And Mike M. is scheduled to stop in on his way through the area today for a little while. There may be one or two more folks drop in. Yesterday went really well. Mark brought up some of his new printed stuff. Lots of different ship's boats. Including a U.S. 40' motor launch. Also some of his pumps, and mounts. Very nice! He also dropped off a lot of the superstructure for the Henry IV. Phil brought up his little French pre-dreadnaught, and made a lot of progress on it. He got a lot of painting done, and glassed the bottom of the hull. Matt was able to drop off the Battlestations Jean Bart (bulged) for Mike M. And he was able to stay for quite a while and chat up the boats. He left with a Battlestations pre-dreadnaught. Another Mark dropped in with his Seaview submarine. Not for combat. It is around 80 inches long. And we were discussing how to radio her up. Super nice guy. He is officially the good Mark. Haha. Vance got home and hung out with us for a while as well. We spoke with Roland, Nikki, Steve, and Carl, and thousands of others who checked in. We discussed the 2016 schedule for battles, displays, the clubs big celebration event, which will probably happen in Jan. or Feb. We picked up officers. And discussed build-sessions. It was great fun. I am heading out to the shop for some more. Up-dates later. Mikey
Daniel I see that you are in Lincoln, Ne. That is a fur piece to drive for a build-session in the Dayton, Ohio area. But we do have quite a few two-day sessions. And the rare three-day build. We also try to go out of our way to help the newer folks. So although at this time we do not actually know what our build-session schedule is for the next month or two, we can always put a session together if you plan to be in the area. Mikey
Well. I have some good news. But I also have some bad news. I will start with the good news. At the last build-session at my boat shop Phil, with the help of a few others, was able to finally get my Netflix going out in the shop. So we were able to search for movies, and watch them. It was awesome! Now for the bad news. Not only can you search for, and find, all sorts of wonderful movies to watch. But you can also see what sort or wonderful movies were watched. That being said. The Admiral stumbled upon one movie in particular, that might not have been entirely appropriate for a build-session, that was watched. In my defense. It was a request by one of the other captains. But currently, my judgement is being questioned. So, until further notice.. My ability to host build-sessions has been revoked. Mikey
