We will be building both days this weekend in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. So drop in if you get a chance. Mikey
Had fun hanging out with Mikey this eve, we totally lost track of time and were at it till 2am. Back after it in the morning. Lots to do. I've got a new project, lol.
Heading out to get the shop going for the weekend build-session. Somebody kept me from my beauty sleep last night. But did we have some great fun. We will try harder today. So drop in if you get a chance. Mikey
Lots of fun building today with two new Frenchmen. One refitting the Battlestations Mogador. One refitting the Treaty Tourville. More war movies than I can remember in one day. Quite a few of our fellow captains checked in to see how we were doing. We will all be at it again tomorrow, with probably two more of the locals. I am looking forward to it. The French fleets are growing. Mikey
Phil and Jeremy are here. Robert, and Matt plan to drop in later. We are watching Enemy at the Gates. We will be here all day working on the boats. Mikey
Got warm out so Mikey and I had to go to my rig so I could start it up and get the a/c going for Mojo the dockyard dog. Also figured he could use a bit of outside time. Moggy is coming along great, will have it on the water at the May battle as well as my DKM Scharnhorst for treaty. Gonna be a good time.
He's a PITA is what he is, lol. But he's a good guard dog and let's me sleep knowing he will warn me of danger.
We will be building in Pleasant Hill, Ohio at my shop on May 14-15 in order to help folks get ready for the Xenia battle on the following weekend. Mikey
Jim and John dropped by for a little while. John is converting the old Shinano into the Yamato. Jim will probably be building a Montana so that they can counter each other. They had to take off, but that was exciting, and fun. Robert is here working on his Rodney. He is also very excited. I will be working on the Denmark Straits boats. Mikey
The shop was alive with excitement yesterday with folks working towards getting their hands on the boats of their dreams, and in some cases getting to work on them. Our main man Matt was the driving force behind pretty much all of it. He was willing to let go of some of his projects so that others could enjoy them too. That being said. I proposed that we have a build-session for Matt in the near future in order to help along one (or more) of his other projects, as it seems that his time is not his own now-a-days. There are others as well that might benefit from this. Too many to name perhaps. But we need to start somewhere. So why not with Matt. That will be a topic for another thread after next weekend. Anyhow. The shop will be open by 10 am today. And we can go into the early evening again. Let's build! Mikey
