The shop is open for the day for anyone that wants to use it.
I will be busy most of the day with other stuff. But will most likely be able to drop in
from time to time to hang out a little.
So drop in if you have stuff to work on, or just want to catch up on some boat chatter and war movies.

My boat-shop is cleaned up and available to anyone that wants to use it today.
I will be gone most of the day doing family stuff.
But you all are welcome to use the shop.
It would probably be a good idea to bring along your own food and drinks.

Although I will only be able to drop in occasionally, the boat-shop is open for anyone wanting to build tomorrow.

We wanted to make sure that you all knew about the build session This Saturday, the 12th, at our shop/studio. We will start at 10:00 AM and go to whenever. We are in the Davis Linden building at 400 Linden Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45402. It's air conditioned and there is plenty of room with lots of table space. Just turn into the tunnel that goes into the inner courtyard of the building. Straight in front of you as you enter the courtyard will be a door marked with a silver "102." That's ours, just walk right in.

Vance and I were able to attend the build-session yesterday.
I must say that this is by far the coolest boat shop I have ever seen.
It is located in an old sewing machine building that was converted over to war production in the 40s.
Lots of room, and all of the needed tools.
The USS Ohio is pretty much ready for sea trials, and then combat. So it seems that she will be sailing into harms way this coming weekend.
    Thanks to the hosts.

The boat shop is closing for the day.
John, Jim, and Phil made it up.
Phil worked on the Italian battleship, and the Altmark, and pretty much helped everyone else.
John worked on his Bearn aircraft-carrier.
    I worked on Jeff's Lutzow, and P.E.
Jim supervised, and browsed through the Treaty ship-list.
Nikki and Nut checked in on us via phone.
We watched some really great movies.
Action in the North Atlantic, Sailor of the King, Night and Day, and perhaps another that I can't recall.
It was great fun indeed. I am looking forward to doing it again tomorrow.
I must get my beauty sleep for now.
    Thanks all!
    M
