Bushed Brushless

    Just noted that the "Donkey" branded outrunners at HK are using bushings instead of ball bearings. Their cheap too and stocked at the USA warehouse.

    The Chinese are copying Ming's improvement to their brushless motors.

    The Donkey Hobbyking.com motors use self lubricating sintered bronze bushings (Oilite) instead of ball bearings. The bushings are more forgiving in a marine environment over ball bearings and will give better and longer lasting service. They will only require an occasional drop of oil to keep things rotating smoothly.

    If I recall, many of the early hobby grade brushless motors were bushed.
