Wow, this should definitely be in the pics section though. Very good job guys. And sorry paul, but you need to work on detail, curt has you outclassed. Maybe.....it is his weakness, hmm. i will have to remember this for Rhode Island.

Funnny.... Curt's the one who detailed the PE.... LOL
I like having pics and builds and info shared here. This is our little spot and to be honest some people (including moi) Don't go much further than here to view or read things. It is nice to go to the other clubs and see what they are up too. But, in the end it is a personal choice.... we are all using this forum on our own time. This is where I keep connected instead of phoning or seeing people... cause that is expensive... :)

[:p]That's funny Boomer I thought the PE had plenty of detail.I actually put more on it than bb26 wanted and what I had intended. We both agreed to bring it with a fair amount and based on teh other PEs I seen over the years bb26's has far more detail. I wanted to leave room for bb26 to add more himself if he desired. I didn't want to steal all the fun from him.

I think I will have to keep an eye on my clone.

I think its great that you put so much effort into ships. Its really cool, and something for rookies to strive for. You guys all do a great job(except you Curt, you're too good, i don't know what it is, it certainly isn't Allied..........hmmm, i will put some though into this)

I think all the detail work is what makes the ship. Something to take pride in and who cares if it gets shot off. Just replace it and go sink someone else. That is what I enjoy, making the SS and adding detail.

I like things plan and clean. I enjoy shooting things off other people's boats... but, mine... I would let the stuff get shot off.

The plain look is much easier to take care of but the pretty ones are good for displays or if you have the time or ambition to keep them up.

The products out there now like the TERMITE and other stuff with molded in detail is making it easier to have that authentic look without sacrificing the detail. Looking forward to more detail bb proof stuff.

I too would like to see more detailed prefab parts that can stand up to the abuse.

I kinds like the damage to SS. Scharnhorst took a couple of hits in the hanger at CANNATS and it looks kind of cool!
I think the trick is to have alot of cheap, replacable parts, like those life rafts, that can be put back between sorties. The little details do make the boat look much better.
