Ok..... we start with some prep here. I went with the quarter inch forum in combat x. I've got the stringer and ribs marked out... Here's what I've got so far...

I wish I had a steadier hand with the marker. I tried to keep the stringer above the bulge here.......

The ribs are darker for the pictures.

    Here's my math:
    50.83 is the length
    43.20 is 85%
    7.63 is the difference
4.63 the remainder after the 2 inch bow and 1 inch.
    18.52 is 4.63 divided by 1/4 inch or .250
    meaning I have 18 ribs.

The stringer is 1/4 inch as per combat x formula.

    What do you think Curt?

Alright continuing on with the build here.... I needed to know the weight.... I have the Wii Fit and put some stuff like stanley cups, maple syrup, my coin collection and a 6v12a battery.... I then popped it on the balance board.

I figured to get 12 to 13 pounds would be accurate for the model and then I could test out the stringer and what Graf looked like on the pool...

Well Graf would turn out to be 13 pounds, which is what I wanted.... his BMI is 7.12 which is not so good... underweight for a human, but, perfect for a float test in the pool!

That looks good! The pool is at the end of season so it is done.... boy it can use some cleaning.... but, the Graf looks about right.... I marked it out pretty close... Cutting will be fun....

Graf's rear end sticks out something fierce out of the water! Once I have everything balanced he will really start to look good.... it should be a very stable platform.... knocking it around, it only took a bounce or two to right itself...

Here is a waterline shot of the stern. That does ride high out of the water.... there is 13 pounds of stuff in there... this could get interesting...

Here is the best shot of the midship area. Looks like 1/4 inch clearance from the water to the stringer. That's what I wanted. Not a lot to shoot at!

The pretty ugly thing done. It took an hour and ten minutes to cut out.

There we go... I now appreciate the work that goes into cutting one of these things out. I went through two cutting wheels and am covered in dust. *cough*cough*
