Maybe a Vanguard or a Alabama..... I do not know sir Curt.... just that we will have a good time doing it.... and thanks again for the compliment.... glad I did such a great job.... first time and all.
6V perfect. They will work fine for you Craig. Just a mattero of matching the prop. The size PE uses will work or the smallest 4 blade flat flattest pitch. It will provide plenty of thrust or wash over the rudder but the prop can rev up to full speed faster without causing excessive thrust.
That depends. I bet money on Graf Spee. Get in alongside hug the ship and blast away using a torp broadside. 5 spurts with 5bbs per spurt. More than enough to sink a floating Crumpett.

I asked that same question Bommer Battlers used to but no more. We have a guy up here in Nova Scotia that is starting to some together, I would ask the guys local to you and see if they know of any.
Guys Any BC cannon can be a spurt gun. Just remove the piston and spring. Of course you will also have to reduce the magazine capacity, or just count how many BB's you put into it. But by most of the rule sets so that no one is acused of cheating, it would be best to modify the magazine capacity to meet the rules. Unsolder the magazine plug at the end, and cut the magazine to the right length, re attach the plug, then redrill the co2 feed in the side of the plug with a 1/16 bit, it will fit right inside of the tube. For the first one you will need to determine the proper lenght of the magazine. Cut the magazine around in half, then put BB's in the magazine holding the gun up right as it would be mounted in a ship, some of the BB's will flow down into the cannon since the piston has been removed. If you tilt it when doing this they will flow up to the barrel which you do not want. With all 15 BB's in it you can see if the magazine is the right length or not, the BB's should be at the end of the magazine, so it may take you a couple of cuts to get the right lenght. After you do that to one, measure the magazine lenght, and any you do after than, you cut the magazine just once. Hope this helps. It will shoot around 7 BB's per spurt if adjusted right, so don't waste those 2 shots. I do all the machining for the BC cannons, and then Don and I assemble them. Rick does the final checking. In over the last year that we have been doing it, we have had 1 order for 1 spurt gun at BC. Since we try to pre make as much as possible so that Rick can get the orders out the door to keep people happy, not like the old days when you waited 2 to 3 months for a order to come, we decide to drop the spurt gun line, since it was so easy to modify a standard BC gun. Before you resolder the Plug, make sure all excess brass on the end of the magazine from where you cut the tube has been removed by sanding the end of the tube, plus it will help with the wetting of the solder. If somthing is not clear or you have anymore questions ask away.
Appreciated. I don't think you could make that any clearer.... someone might want to let Mackster know.... just a thought...
