Hey Craig the 7.2 V 365 MOTORS at BC will work for GRAF SPEE. Those are in PE.

I am thinking of ordering a hardware kit for Heidi's and my Graff Spee as the boys at BC should know what I will need.

Sounds good Curt, I will make sure to order them.... were they direct drive in PE? I want to do the direct drive thing again... trying to save as much room as possible.

WOW, the weekend happens, me without a computer and BAM 4 pages of dribble,(except the spurt cannon directions of course)[:D]. Just kidding, Craig an option for Graf Spee's drive is 1 550 motor and the single motor, dual shaft gearbox. That way you can fit a full size pump motor to keep damage control as effective as possible.
They must have fixed the computers here cause I can now see the pics. Looks very good Craig, I think he is going to be b&$*h to sink, good thing we are the same side!(I know but better late than never). From the pics of the stern, it does ride a little high but let me assure you that it is perfect hight to back into someone and make a BIG hole (refer to the pics of Scharny after I got rammed).

Very true Jay, Very true. I would say that is an interesting setup to be sure. I've definately got to weigh all options because of... Graf's weight! I am running over some scenarios in my head and will proceed when the gear starts arriving.... I have to order it yet, and that is part of the holdup.... I want to make the best decision. I like the single 550 for sure... hmmmmmmm another option to think about, thanks Jay! Graf will ride high in the stern which will allow for some big holes to be made. Under CWC-X rules, I will be allowed a spurt cannon as well (half unit) as a torpedo mount.... I think if it can be placed in the back at the step down for the subdeck that would be ideal. Again... planning, planning, planning.... research, discussion... before proceeding.... I take it you are still in for the beautiful work on the SS? Will that be coming back with Chris also, or will you be sending that.... please keep me up to date on that too. Thanks Jay.

Craig, Jay will not have the plans for Graff Spee until I go down to Hali in Nov. We may have to make a trip down when all the SS are ready.

Hey... it's 6-7 weeks off, anything can happen between now and then. Here's the most important part of it.... if it can be done let's do it. Nothing would motivate me more than see what Jay can do with the sintra for the Graf's SS! It would really get the blood going to finish Graf. Jay, I'm e-mailing you some details, you can tell me what you think... :)

Allright I was pinging the idea in my head if I was going ahead to build GRAF SPEE as combat. Looks like I will. CWC-X style(Combatx) Look out world.

Just One thing I forgot to mention was to mention whether you are going to go with gears or direct drive.

Craig if you go direct drive than maybe an ESC is in order there. If gears you may or may not need one..... lots of options. All good so far.
